Hello Boomer Wisdom, here's an Irish directory for you to have a look through, I don't know for sure if there is anything in there that will help you, I'm still searching for the specific information for you. I'll be back soon, xx http://rmhh.co.uk/ireland.html http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/search/quick_search.aspx?search_text=siege+of+londonderry+1689x=34y=8 http://cain.ulst.ac.uk/issues/commemoration/walker/walker01.htm I have just made a few phone calls on your behalf Boomer and I have the following information. This is the Archives library and they gave me an email address for their number 1 historian ? here goes with that, maura.craig@ni-libraries.net Central Library 35, Foyle St, Londonderry, County Londonderry BT48 6AL Tel: 028 7127 2310 Then I phoned this library the lady was a star, Dungiven Library 74, Main St, Dungiven, Londonderry, County Londonderry BT47 4LD Tel: 028 7774 1475 She said the information you are looking for is more than likely only kept by Proni, she gave me the phone number which is 028 90255905 and an email address which in her opinion was the best way to contact them, so here it is, proni@dcalni.gov.uk if you would like me to phone them on your behalf I am quite happy to do that for you. From Belfast Central; 7.03am 8.53am 10.43am 12.31pm 2.22pm 4.13pm 5.33pm 6.02pm 7.53pm 9.16pm Journey takes around 2 hours...but it would be best to check the times at around the time you're leaving America, as the timetables between Belfast and Derry might have changed for summer season.

this will vary from salon to salon. also depending on weather of not you will supply your own colours etc. i would charge £250 a week with everything included but that is just my charge. best thing to do is ring up a few salons and enquire as everyone has their own price. with remember is negotiable. remember to find out if you will be on the insurance or will you need your own!?
Londonderry in North Yorkshire, or Londonderry in Ireland? === updated. Ok so... Ryanair are on Bristol-Derry with one daily nonstop flight. http://www.cityofderryairport.com/ I randomly tried 1 month from now, April 14 with return April 21, and they've got another one of their 2 pence sales going on--all taxes included. (They'll make money on the check-in, priority boarding, baggage, coffee, etc.).

County Antrim. nice meals served, great staff highly recomended.
Yes I remember because we knew one of the people who hosted a group of these kids in our city--he himself was Irish and felt a keen responsibility towards giving the children some respite from the daily horrors they were living with at the time. I believe there were 4 to 6 of these children locally, shared out with our friend's family and two others. They were so beautiful...and perhaps they did take a message home that made a difference.
Bill Evans(jazz pianist) recorded a piano solo rendition of the tune (Londonderry Air) in 1962. It appears on the album Time Remembered and on Bill Evans: The Complete Riverside Recordings. Maybe Glen Miller? It didn't make it up to no 40 in the UK by anyone, any time... http://www.everyhit.com/
I sympathise with you! Sometimes the health professionals are not great at giving info. Speak to your health visitor, she may have info on local groups. Search for Yahoo Groups for children with similar problems, there may be a group that knows your area and can help. If your child has specifically named problem, search for that on the net, again it may throw up some local contact. I did a search but it really did not come up with any decent info, so the above is the best I can think of. Good luck...I know what it feels like to have an isolated child...;
You can blame the English when they invaded Ireland and began their usual practice of applying Anglo-Saxon names to the occupied country. If you look at an irish map or street sign which gives both versions, you will see that the English did not have much imagination! Thus 'Doire, the irish/Celtic term for oak tree, became 'Derry', later renamed to Londonderry in honour of the principal city of the Queen of England. Thus the native Catholics prefer to forget this period of irish history by continuing to call it Derry while Protestants, imported [or planted by the English], prefer to call it by their sponsor's preferred name. Each to his own, I say - we've got to live with each other. If you ask someone what the principal city of County Derry is, their answer will usually reveal their religion. I'm sure neutrals find it very confusing, not least since they don't want to offend anyone if visiting. I have to say that I know several people from Derry on both sides of the religious divide, and they are the most warm and charming peopel you could meet. It's a great city to visit, full of interesting features and in a beautiful setting. You will get a very warm welcome from everyone, irrespective of background and religion. I'm Dublin-born and mostly bred although emigrated eight years ago to the UK. I write a website on Dublin - you might like to read my Culture section for more information. All the best, Peter
